Isn't it more comfortable to have someone tell you how to use technology than to have to discover that for yourself. Ultimately open source software could lead and does lead to open source thinking. There is a difference between falling prey to clever marketing and doing your own thinking. How innovative is using Powerpoint to deliver a presentation. What new kind of thinking is really involved? How much different is user generated content in mashups similar to that found on Youtube and Google Video different from an electronic slideshow? One of my favorite spoofs is "Death by Powerpoint."
