This weekend following DrupalCon DC I traveled south to Glen Allen, VA to visit my brother and his family. My sister-in-law has designed a nice site for a dance marathon. In the past she had used FrontPage but she'd been developing a site for a local charity that used Joomla. She'd not heard of Drupal until my visit. Content management systems are really putting pressure on software like Dreamweaver, FrontPage and GoLive.

I came across an article on the web about a month ago comparing Drupal and Joomla and it caught my eye since I was at first very attracted to Joomla. It looked a little glitzier "right out of the box," but since then I've become much more familiar with Drupal. I originally used Joomla on this site and then switched to Wordpress in my blog which I found much easier to configure. |
